ST. LOUIS — St. Louis health officials have confirmed that the lingering heat wave is responsible for the death of a 68-year-old man.
The death was announced Tuesday by the office of Mayor Francis Slay. Spokeswoman Kara Bowlin says the man was found dead Friday. He lived alone in a home that had air conditioning, but it was not in use.
