COLUMBIA — About 400 to 500 Columbia Water and Light power customers experienced power outages Friday night due to the large storm that happened in town.
Dan Storm, a balancing authority operator at the power plant, said power should be returned within a few hours at most.
The outages happened all over town and were mostly small issues that could be resolved easily, but Storm said there were more of those issues than usual.
There were 45 separate issues reported from the storm that started at about 8 p.m., but a normal storm only causes 4-5 outages.
If your power is not returned overnight, contact Columbia Water and Light at 874-7325.
