ST. LOUIS — Former Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander has signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams. The move was announced Sunday night.
Alexander wasn't drafted after injuring his knee before the Senior Bowl. The 6-5, 221-pounder was All-Big 12 his senior season with 113 receptions for 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading Football Bowl Subdivision players in yards receiving.
He worked out with the team earlier in training camp. The Rams are short at the position for the second straight year under coach Steve Spagnuolo.
The Rams will be holding an open practice at 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for fans wanting to see Alexander, according to the team's official Twitter.
