COLUMBIA — Missouri sophomore softball player Jenna Marston has proven to be as comfortable on the baseball diamond as she is on the softball field.
Marston was named to the All-Tournament Team after helping the USA Baseball Women’s National Team win a bronze medal in the International Baseball Federation’s Women’s World Cup this weekend in Maracay, Venezuela.
Seeing time as a shortstop, right fielder and pitcher, Marston pounded out a tournament-high 16 hits and eight doubles and led Team USA with a .571 batting average.
Marston also earned a 1-1 record on the mound with a 1.91 ERA in 11 innings.
Team USA defeated Venezuela 15-5 Sunday for the bronze medal. Marston went 2-for-2 with two doubles, two runs and two runs batted in.
