COLUMBIA — It was quite the performance for a player with no collegiate experience and one healthy hand.
Missouri freshman setter Molly Kreklow was named Big 12 Rookie of the Week on Monday after three tremendous matches this weekend at the Tiger Invitational. It was her first experience playing at the collegiate level.
Kreklow had 35 or more assists in each of the Tigers' three matches, finishing with a total of 109 assists to claim MVP honors. Missouri won the tournament.
If that wasn’t enough, Kreklow played with one hand in a cast after dislocating her right pinkie in a preseason practice. The injury forced her to use one hand when blocking and required her to serve underhanded.
