Columbia police to conduct sobriety checkpoint

COLUMBIA — The Columbia Police Department is planning a sobriety checkpoint sometime between Thursday and Saturday, according to a news release from the department.

The checkpoint is set to begin at 10 p.m. and continue until 3 a.m., according to the release.

The department received a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation's Highway Safety Division to fund the checkpoint.
