ST. LOUIS — Sen. Claire McCaskill plans to tour the St. Louis Veterans Affairs Hospital and get an update on progress toward making sure all equipment is properly sterilized.
The Democratic senator is scheduled to visit the hospital Thursday and discuss her findings afterward at a news conference.
The VA announced earlier this summer that about 1,800 veterans were potentially exposed to Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or HIV because of improperly sterilized dental equipment.
More than 1,700 of those veterans have either been tested or declined testing. Four cases of hepatitis have been found, though it hasn't been determined if the faulty sterilization was the cause.

She needs to go to the Columbia VA. With all the construction that is going on there, someone needs an update.
Why? Is the construction impacting patient care?
