In a one-hour, televised event on Monday at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., President Barack Obama was confronted with questions from "disillusioned supporters" about the economy, according to an article from The New York Times.
In the report, it was called a "kind of Wall Street to Main Street reality check."
Business owners and others on "Main Street" wondered if the American dream was still attainable, while some on Wall Street, even a former law school classmate of the president, said they felt maligned after sticking up for his agenda.
Many believe the results of November's elections will demonstrate the level of national support for the president. According to a blog post by The New York Times , Republicans in the House of Representatives are already developing a policy agenda agenda in hopes that they will grow their ranks in Congress after the November elections.
Are you satisfied with the job that the president is doing, particularly with the economy?
