JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri's transportation department has added real-time weather information to its online road map to help drivers plan their travel.
The Missouri Department of Transportation has posted a highway map on its website for several years showing closures, construction, flooding and snow-covered roads. The agency now is updating the map with weather radar.
The state agency is using weather updates from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to show motorists the weather they can expect on their trips. The map is posted at maps.modot.mo.gov/tim.

Very useful, especially for winter weather conditions. Indiana went to this format last winter.
