The Columbia College men's soccer team cruised to a 7-1 victory Friday afternoon against Williams Baptist College (Ark.).
In the first half, the Cougars jumped to a 3-0 advantage. Juniors Edgar Reyna and John Hutchison scored the first two goals. Freshman Ryo Okubo added the third, scoring his first goal of his Columbia College career.
The Cougars found the back of the net four more times in the second half with both Hutchison and Reyna scoring again, and junior Dylan Barduzzi earning two goals of his own.
Reyna remains the Cougars leading scorer with seven goals on the season. Hutchison is second with five, while Barduzzi trails him with four goals.
Senior goalkeeper Ken Searles played the first half for Columbia College and freshman Matt McKenna recorded some time in front of the goal in the second half.
Columbia College's record improves to 6-3.
The Cougars will square off against McKendree University (Ill.) on the road next Wednesday, Oct. 6.
