PrintIt was announced this week that Missouri's Big 12 Conference opening game against Colorado, Oct. 9, at Memorial Stadium, will be a night game — 6 p.m. to be exact.
This will be the third night game of the young season for the Missouri football team. Non-conference games against McNeese State and San Diego State both had 6 p.m. starting times to allow the MU athletics department to sell those games as pay-per-view. Last weekend's game against Miami (Ohio) began in the afternoon and was not on television.
A Saturday night game isn't all that peculiar, and certainly falls behind in novelty with last season's Thursday night loss to Nebraska. At the same time, the athletics department has shown a recent propensity to schedule more night games in Missouri's recent successful football run.

I didn't choose one of the "answers" because I like some of all of the start times except morning. 1:00 is good because it's tradition with daylight, tailgating etc. I like night games early in the season to avoid the heat & I like to meet old friends for a round @ Gustin before the game. Morning sucks because you have to start so early & if you tailgate (ie: cocktails) by the time the game is over @ 3:00 the rest of the day is ruined.

Then you'd really hate the Big Ten conference, about half of whose games start at 11:00 AM Central Time. There are some afternoon games, and tonight Penn State is playing at Iowa at 7:00 PM Central Time.
But if that's a problem it's going to be Nebraska's problem, as they're the only ones going to the Big Ten.
