COLUMBIA — The executive director of the Presbyterian Education Board in Pakistan will speak about the benefit of Christian schools for Pakistan’s youth.
Veeda Javaid, who oversees Christian schools in a primarily Muslim populated country, will address how her schools are helping poor, rural minority boys and girls, what support is being given by a variety of religious organizations and why it is so important for people in Columbia to continue their support of the program.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church.
