Rock Bridge soccer team wins in overtime penalty kicks

COLUMBIA — The Rock Bridge boys soccer team defeated Helias 4-2 in overtime penalty kicks Tuesday at Rock Bridge.

After regulation and two sudden-death overtime periods ended with the game still scoreless, senior John Gunter, junior Matt Kelly, junior Tyler Brittain and senior captain Danny Baird all scored for the Bruins in a shootout to earn the victory.

Rock Bridge (13-4) plays next Friday at the Springfield Tournament.
