COLUMBIA — The Stephens volleyball team lost 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 to William Woods on Thursday night at Silverthorne Arena.
"They (William Woods) played outstanding," Stars coach Shane McAfee said. "Not only was their defense tough, their blocking was tough, too."
Stephens could not get its offense going against the tough Owl defense. William Woods also dominated on the offensive end. The loss was the fourth in a row for the Stars, though, they have been facing the American Midwest Conference's best teams.
"This doesn't detract from the season that we've had," McAfee said. "We've had a good season."
The Stars are now 19-18 overall and 3-12 in AMC. They will play their final regular season game at 3 p.m. Saturday against McKendree.
