The Rock Bridge boys soccer team beat Rolla 3-2 on Tuesday night in a Class 3 sectional game in Rolla.
"We controlled possession in the game," Rock Bridge coach Kyle Austin said in a phone interview. "I was pretty impressed with our team’s performance tonight."
Senior Ryan Taylor scored first for the Bruins (23-5). A goal from junior Matt Kelly put Rock Bridge ahead 2-1 and a goal from junior Ryan Schmidt made it 3-1. Rolla scored the game's final goal.
The Bruins advance to play Carthage (24-4) in the state quarterfinals Saturday at Rock Bridge. Carthage defeated Glendale 3-0 in its sectional contest.
