Veterans gathered at the Truman Veterans Hospital on Thursday to attend the Missouri River Quilt Guild's special event. Members of the Quilt Guild donated more than 100 homemade quilts as gifts to honor veterans for their services. The quilts, of an estimated $150 cost to make, were given to the veterans for free.
