After struggling in the first 15 minutes of their exhibition game with Arkansas Fort-Smith, the Missouri Tigers basketball team pulled away, scoring 70 points in the second half to win 115-74.
Junior forward Laurence Bowers led the Tigers, scoring 26 points on 10-14 shooting and grabbing 14 rebounds, including 6 offensive boards.
Sophomore guard Michael Dixon was hot from the outside, making 4 of 5 three pointers on the way to a 19 point game.
Matt Pressey, a junior guard who transferred from Navarro Junior College, scored 15 points, most of which came from his agressiveness and getting to the free throw line. Pressey went 11-13 from the line.
The Tigers will start the 2010-2011 regular season with a game on Thursday against Western Illinois. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
