JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri House members have called hearings to scrutinize state spending.
A specially created House panel was scheduled to meet Monday afternoon to review state spending through Medicaid. The committee also planned to examine funding for the departments of mental health, social services, and health and senior services.
Republican Ryan Silvey, of Kansas City, was expected to lead the panel. Silvey is the incoming chairman of the House Budget Committee.
