I suppose this shows the drawback of the automatic bowl matchups. Here is Missouri, a 2-loss team, looking at the prospect of playing one team that has lost five games (Michigan), another that has lost 6 or 7 (Washington). All the talking heads of sports media keep harping about how the entire season is sort of like a playoff. Really?
What would really be intriguing is to break the mold, and design a special matchup between Missouri and Boise State.
