COLUMBIA — The man charged with killing 44-year-old Pamela Kellner at a Jefferson City McDonald's on Friday evening is her estranged husband.
Keith B. Kellner of Jefferson City is charged in Cole County Circuit Court with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Pamela Kellner, also of Jefferson City.
Court documents say Keith Kellner walked into the McDonald's, 1918 Jefferson St., to talk with his wife, who worked there. They sat down at a booth. Witnesses said they heard a single gunshot and saw Pamela Kellner grab her chest, saying, "Call the cops, he shot me."
According to the documents, Keith Kellner left, leaving a .380-caliber handgun behind. Later, he called 911 to tell police where he was so he could surrender himself to them.
Kellner was being held without bond pending arraignment and entry of appearance by counsel.
