Missouri men's basketball team beats Northern Illinois

COLUMBIA — The Missouri men's basketball team avoided a holiday hangover by defeating Northern Illinois 97-61 at Mizzou Arena on Monday.
The Tigers started out hot, scoring 17 consecutive points before Northern Illinois could get a shot to fall. By halftime, the Tigers led 57-17.
