Mediacom fills previous KOMU channels

COLUMBIA–Starting Wednesday night, Mediacom customers were able to turn on channels 5, 7, 86, 101 and 707 to find programming on previously empty channels after KOMU's programming was dropped on Tuesday morning.
Turner Classic Movies is now on channels 7 and 707 and the Starz Family programming is on channel 5. Discovery HUB, the rebranded Discovery Kids, is now shown on both 86 and 101.

They need to replace it with another NBC affiliate. St. Louis, KC, Chicago, Podunk West Virginia - it doesn't matter. Give us NBC programming. That is what was promised when we signed up with Mediacom. We were told we would have NBC. We missed a new L&O: SVU last night... That should not have happened. That is what we pay for. We will not pay our entire bill this month, that's for sure. We have not received the services we expect.
That's funny. In West Virginia we usually say Podunk, Missouri.
Once, while waiting in line to pay my bill at Mediacom, a college student clearly still feeling the effects of the night before burst through the doors, threw his hands in the air, surveyed the cavernous space, took a deep breath, and said, "Ahhhhh, so this is where the devil sleeps." I will never forget that guy or the accuracy of his statement. The ladies behind the counter weren't as amused.
