COLUMBIA — Three people were transported to University Hospital after two vehicles ran off the road in Boone County on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Highway WW and South Olivet Road, where the driver of a southbound 1999 Ford Mustang traveled into the path of a 1999 Ford Taurus going eastbound.
Both vehicles ran off the road and overturned, said Matthew Broniec, Missouri State Highway Patrol sergeant.
The 19-year-old driver of the Mustang sustained minor injuries, and the driver and the passenger of the Taurus, both 49, sustained moderate injuries. All three were transported by ambulance to University Hospital, Broniec said.
