2011 Missouri Grand Prix starts Friday

COLUMBIA — The 2011 Missouri Grand Prix will take place at the MU Student Recreation Complex pool Friday through Monday.

Swimmers from all over the world, including U.S. Olympian Dara Torres, will be competing in the event. Six Missouri swimmers will be competing as well.

Prelims begin at 9 a.m. and finals begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Timed finals for the women's 1,500-meter freestyle and men's 800-meter freestyle will take place Monday morning beginning at 9 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased online at the Missouri Grand Prix website and can also be purchased at the door. Tickets are available for prelims, finals, a full day or the whole weekend. All-session passes are available online for $69.
