COLUMBIA — Columbia Public Schools had its ninth snow day Friday, making the final day of the school year June 3, Community Relations Coordinator Michelle Baumstark said.
Under state law, because the district has had between six and 10 snow days, 50 percent of the days are made up, Baumstark said. To date, the district has had five snow days in February alone.
She said that after 10 snow days, the new days are considered forgiven.
The latest possible end of school is June 7.
