COLUMBIA — The Boone County Sheriff's Department has made nine unrelated arrests based on information obtained while investigating tips on the April 17 shooting death of Donnell G. Coleman.
Several of the nine individuals arrested had outstanding warrants for probation and parole violations, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
The Sheriff's Department and the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad have pursued 118 leads, which has resulted in interviews with 60 people associated with Coleman, according to the release. Officers have also canvassed 100 homes and made 25 traffic stops based on information related to Coleman's shooting.
Two armed men kicked down the front door of the north Columbia apartment where Coleman was staying and shot and killed him before leaving in a dark sedan, according to a previous Missourian article.
Deangelo T. Grant, 26, turned himself in Wednesday in connection with the shooting and was charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree burglary, according to a previous Missourian article. CrimeStoppers is continuing to offer a reward of up to $1,000 for information related to the shooting.
