COLUMBIA — Missouri men's basketball coach Frank Haith announced two more additions to his coaching staff Friday, adding former Missouri men's basketball player Matt Lawrence as a graduate manager and Toby Lane as a director of basketball operations.
Lawrence finished his Missouri career in 2009 and was named the Big 12 co-Sixth Man of the Year. He scored 1,004 points over the course of his career. Following graduation, he spent parts of two seasons playing professionally for the Tromsø Storm team in Norway. He averaged 23.3 points over 27 games. He will be pursuing a graduate degree during his time as an assistant.
"It's great to have Matt return to Columbia and join our staff," Haith said in a release. "As Tiger fans know, he is someone that is driven to succeed and has passion for this school and this program."
Lane served as Haith's associate director of basketball operations for four seasons at Miami. Previously, he spent three years as an assistant coach at Southeast Missouri State and two years as a video coordinator at Oklahoma.
"He has familiarity with our state from his time at Southeast Missouri and understands our league from his stint at Oklahoma," Haith said.
