COLUMBIA — A man was arrested at a northeast Columbia residence on Saturday evening after reports of a robbery at a home about one mile away.
A deputy from the Boone County Sheriff's Department responded at about 8 p.m. to an apartment in the 4700 block of East Heller Drive, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. A female living at the residence reported that she awoke to find a man inside her apartment at around 11 p.m. Friday, according to the release. The woman said she searched her apartment and found several items missing, according to the release.
According to the release, the deputy arrested Adam R. Johnson, 30, of San Francisco, at 7703 La Porte Ave., where he was staying in Columbia. The deputy recovered some of the missing property from the apartment on Johnson's person, according to the release.
According to the release, Johnson was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary and receiving stolen property, and his total bond was set at $5,000.
