Shots fired in Peppers Nightclub parking lot

COLUMBIA — Early Sunday morning, Columbia police received reports of shots being fired in the parking lot of Pepper's Nightclub in north Columbia.
A vehicle police believed to be connected with the shooting was leaving the parking lot of the nightclub, located at 4515 N. Highway 763, when it was stopped by an officer, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

The 17-year-old male in the vehicle had a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to the release. No other injuries were reported from the incident.
Police said in the release that they have not found any suspects related to the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 875-TIPS.
