Joplin tornado survivors keep area hotels at capacity

JOPLIN — Joplin-area hotels remain at capacity more than a month after a massive tornado destroyed 8,000 homes and more than 500 businesses.
KOAM-TV reports demand for hotel rooms is four times greater than what the hotel district offers. Residence Inn manager Pete Hall said 90 percent to 95 percent of the guests at his hotel are storm victims.
