PrintHAZELWOOD — A St. Louis County judge has thrown out a lawsuit aimed at allowing two teenage girls to sell Girl Scout cookies at a stand outside their home.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Judge Maura McShane ruled that the mother of the girls should have exhausted all attempts to get the city of Hazelwood to reconsider before taking the issue to court.
Carolyn Mills filed the suit earlier this year after getting a letter from the city saying that a neighbor had complained about the traffic and noise from the stand. The girls had sold cookies from the stand for the past six years.
The suit did not seek any money.
