JEFFERSON CITY — Lawyers for a coalition of exotic dancers and adult-oriented businesses are going before the Missouri Supreme Court to challenge a state law restricting their activities.
The high court was scheduled to hear arguments Wednesday from the plaintiffs and the state.

The law took effect last year. It bans full nudity and alcohol at strip clubs and adult-oriented stores. It also bars physical contact between seminude employees and customers, and requires that such stores and clubs close before midnight.
Critics contend that the restrictions violate the constitutional right of free speech and expression. They also argue that Missouri lawmakers violated proper procedures in passing the legislation.

Republicans want the gov'mint to get out of the way of business. unless it is a business they don't like. Pathetic hypocrites.
Yep, but plenty of Democrats voted for the bill as well and Jay Nixon signed it.

Yep, but Democrats aren't complaining about big gov'mint. Republicans are , which was my intent of my comment so you're comment is....irrelevant. Nice knee-jerk reaction from the two-percenter party.
Tim, do you have to swallow the venom when you wake up in the morning or are you able to make it to the sink to spit it out? You have got to be the most unhappy person commenting on this board. So sorry that I had to point out that your minority party members prefer to look at how their votes look to constituents than voting their freaking conscience. Have a good day, if you can.
Tim, there's plenty there in KC for you to gripe about.
Yes, Tim, Boone County and surrounding counties are sacrosanct. If you are a geographic outsider and/or have differing views you would should not presume to post here. :)
