See how the league is shaping up. Here's this week's Big 12 television schedule.
After Oklahoma State's visit to Arizona on Thursday winning 37-14 and with the Tigers visiting Arizona State, there are only three games featuring Big 12 teams on the docket Saturday:
Missouri (1-0)
at Arizona State (1-0)
WHEN: 9:30 p.m. CDT
WHERE: Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe, Ariz.
RADIO: KTGR/1580 AM, 100.5 FM, KCMQ/96.7 FM
TV: ESPN2
NOTE: After a season-opening 17-6 win over Miami (Ohio) last Saturday in Columbia, Missouri has 22-consecutive nonconference regular season victories.
Iowa @ Iowa State 11 a.m. Saturday on Fox Sports Net
In the battle for the CyHawk Trophy, Iowa State will welcome Iowa to Ames. The Hawkeyes, the team that defeated Missouri in last year’s Insight Bowl, are coming off a victory over FCS school Tennessee Tech. Iowa State also defeated an FCS opponent, Northern Iowa, but needed a touchdown in the game’s final minute to win.
BYU @ Texas 6 p.m. Saturday on ESPN2
BYU, a school some have suggested as a possible candidate to join the Big 12, will square off with Texas on Saturday night when the Cougars head to Austin to battle the Longhorns. After a win over Rice last weekend, Texas made its way into the polls, ranking at No. 24. BYU also won last weekend, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to defeat Ole Miss 14-13 after trailing 13-0.
Northern Illinois @ Kansas 6 p.m. Saturday on Fox College Sports
The Kansas Jayhawks are the only Big 12 team in action this weekend that won’t be facing a school from a BCS conference. Kansas’ foe will be Northern Illinois, a team from the MAC who defeated Army last weekend in spectacular fashion, 49-26. Northern Illinois quarterback Chandler Harnish only completed 12 passes, but five of those completions were touchdown throws. Kansas also scored more than 40 points in a Week 1 victory over FCS school McNeese State.
