MANHATTAN, Kan. — A slow start for the Missouri offense has left the Tigers trailing to Kansas State at halftime, 10-3.
James Franklin threw an interception on the first play of the game, and the Wildcats capitalized. Quarterback Collin Klein rushed in from the one-yard line for a touchdown in the first quarter to give the Wildcats a 7-0 lead. Kansas State kicker Anthony Cantele added a 20-yard field goal to extend the lead to 10-0 by the end of the first quarter.
The Tigers scored on their first drive of the second quarter after gaining zero yards of offense in the first quarter. Grant Ressel made a 32-yard field goal to cap a drive highlighted by several Henry Josey rushes.
Franklin completed several quick passes in the final minute of the first half to set up a 42-yard field goal attempt for Ressel, which was missed.
