Gold Team takes 2-0 series lead in Missouri baseball Fall World Series

COLUMBIA- The Gold Team won 6-3 in Game 2 of the Missouri baseball team's Fall World Series on Wednesday at Taylor Stadium to take a 2-0 series lead against the Black Team.
The Black Team scored first on a base hit by junior Scott Sommerfeld to score newcomer Gavin Stark in the bottom of the second, but the Gold Team never looked back after scoring three runs in the top of the third with RBIs by junior Ben Turner and senior Connor Mach.

Junior Blake Brown, who led the team with 20 stolen bases in the spring, stole second in the fourth, resulting in the Gold Team’s fourth run.
Brett Graves came in to close out the game, earning his first save as a Tiger.
The teams will face off again in Game 3 at 6 p.m. Saturday.
