During its next meeting, the Columbia City Council might consider an ordinance approved by the Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission on Sept. 21 to allow skateboarding in more parts of the city.

As part of the ordinance, skaters would be allowed to skateboard downtown on city streets but not on sidewalks. In other parts of the city, skaters would be allowed on sidewalks and streets, as long as they followed the regulations currently in place for cyclists.

Wonder what the over/under would be for traffic scofflaws as measured against bicyclists.
