COLUMBIA — A Columbia woman was arrested Monday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and involuntary manslaughter.
Desmeisha Thomas, 19, was the driver of the 2000 Nissan Pathfinder during an accident involving the SUV that resulted in the deaths of two passengers in the early morning of Sept. 3, according to previous Missourian reporting. The accident happened on Blue Ridge Road near Oakland Gravel Road.
Thomas' toxicology reports recently came back from the St. Louis University Toxicology Lab and revealed her blood alcohol content was .076 and positive for cocaine, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
She was held on a $500 bond for driving while intoxicated and a separate bond will be set for involuntary manslaughter.
