It's Texas' alma mater, "The Eyes of Texas." Penned in 1903 by student John Sinclair, the song is set to the tune of "I've Been Working on the Railroad" and even has the same second line — so it's easy to understand how some might be confused.
The eyes of Texas are upon you/All the live long day
The title of the song is in reference to former university president William Prather, who, to the delight of the students, used the line "The eyes of Texas are upon you" to conclude all of his speeches.
