COLUMBIA — Missouri running back Henry Josey will miss the rest of the season after tearing his patellar tendon and suffering tears to his MCL and ACL in his left knee, team spokesman Chad Moller said.
Josey was hurt during the third quarter of Saturday's 17-5 win against Texas.

Josey has been the Tigers' most prolific offensive player this season. He entered Saturday's game as the Big 12's leading rusher, with an average of more than 127 yards per game.
Earlier in the week, Josey was named one of the 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award, handed out annually to the nation's top running back.
Moller said Josey is having surgery Sunday morning, and the time frame for his return is unknown.
After Saturday's game, Missouri coach Gary Pinkel and his players addressed how bad they felt about losing Josey, who had emerged as one of the country's best rushers this season.
"It's really sad," running back Kendial Lawrence said Saturday. "He plays a big role on the team. He's our teammate, he's our brother, so it's really sad for that to happen to him."
After he was hurt Saturday, Josey was put on a cart to be taken away from the field. Before the cart left, Texas coach Mack Brown came across the field and said some words to Josey.
“I told him he’s had a great year and he’s a great player and I hope he got well soon,” Brown said after the game. “I knew the young man wasn’t coming back in when they brought the cart out. This is a game about kids.”
