COLUMBIA — The Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center held an early Kwanzaa celebration on Thursday. The event featured a presentation of the seven principles of Kwanzaa, a gospel choir and steel drum performance. Kwanzaa begins Dec. 26 and ends Jan. 1.
