JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri officials are urging people to celebrate New Year's Day by hiking in the state's parks.
The state is offering free guided hikes in nine state parks on Jan. 1. The guided tours are part of a national effort encouraging people to get outside.
The guided hikes will be offered on Jan. 1 at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park, Crowder State Park, Graham Cave State Park, Pomme de Terre State Park, Prairie State Park, Roaring River State Park, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park, Trail of Tears State Park and Washington State Park.

Missourian: could you provide information on the hike at Rock Bridge for those interested? Thank you.
Where do we find specific information about time and places to meet for these hikes? If the weather allows, I think that sounds like a great way to spend the day for those of us not planning on having a hang over!
Here you go, guys. Sounds fun, doesn't it? It looks like the one at Rock Bridge State Park will begin at 12:45. (It even allows for sleeping in!)

This is not the first time I've been told to take a hike.
I'm certain it won't be my last.
