For Sandi Adams, collecting memorabilia is a way to preserve the past. She especially loves finding items from her own history.
Some of the most important pieces in Adams' home are her Wizard of Oz items. It was one of the first movies she remembers seeing as a child, and it has great sentimental value to her.
Carol Terrell, Adams' longtime friend and current roommate, plays with some of the toddlers that come to their in-home day care. Adams started the day care when her daughter went to kindergarten in an effort to be at home more. Terrell was Adams' college roommate and fellow nurse in the Operating Room for years and now helps her with the day care.
