Columbia College women's basketball earns road win

The Columbia College women's basketball team beat Williams Baptist College 68-62 on Thursday in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
Airelle Eldridge led the Cougars with 19 points, and Tierney Seifer had 15 points and seven rebounds. Heather English (14 points) and Julie Teeple (11) also scored in double figures.

The Cougars began on a 16-5 run and never trailed, building a 36-25 lead at halftime. The victory brings the Cougars to 14-7 overall and 4-1 against American Midwest Conference opponents. The Eagles fall to 10-7 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
The Cougars are set to host Hannibal-LaGrange at 2 p.m. Saturday.
