The records: Economic indicators for Columbia, Boone County and Missouri, including unemployment rates, weekly and yearly wage rates, cost of living and population comparisons.
Why you'd want them: Compare and examine how hard Columbia and Boone County have been effected by the 2008 recession compared to other cities and counties.
The national unemployment rate was 8.6 percent in November, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Columbia's 4.6 percent unemployment rate in November is well below the national and state averages.
Where you get the records: Go to www.columbiaredi.com and scroll over the "Expand and Relocate" icon. Click on "Economic Indicators" then scroll down to "Economic Indicators" and then to "Current Economic Indicators."
