The Rock Bridge girls' basketball team defeated Jefferson City High School 72-51 in Jefferson City on Thursday night.
The Bruins trailed 19-8 at the end of the first quarter but outscored Jefferson City to gain a significant lead. Head Coach Jill Nagel said the team managed to close the gap by successfully containing the ball and using fast breaks to their advantage.
Four Bruins scored in double digits. Chayla Cheadle had 14 points, followed by Lindsey Cunningham with 12, and Sophie Cunningham and Cierra Porter, both with 10.
The 19-3 Bruins host Villa Duchesne on Monday.*
