McDonald's to host hotcake fundraiser event for new Ronald McDonald House

COLUMBIA — Be ready for pancakes at the "All You Can Eat Hotcakes" fundraiser.

The event will be hosted by McDonald's restaurants in Mid-Missouri to raise money to build a new Ronald McDonald House near the MU Women's and Children's Hospital, according to a news release.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-like atmosphere for families whose children are in the hospital. The charity has hosted more than 25,000 families since 1983, according to the release, and operates through donors from the community.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at McDonald's restaurants, the Ronald McDonald House or online through Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri.   

The event is scheduled for 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 23 at 28 McDonald's restaurants across mid-Missouri. 

Along with Columbia, the participating McDonald's restaurants are located in Ashland, Boonville, California, Centralia, Eldon, Fayette, Fulton, Holts Summit, Jefferson City, Kingdom City, Lake Ozark, Linn, Mexico, Moberly, New Florence, Osage Beach, Sedalia, Versailles and Warsaw.
