Rock Bridge High School girls and boys basketball teams claimed the district titles after winning the Class 5 District 9 championship Friday night at Smith-Cotton High School.
The girls team had a 75-67 victory over Jefferson City High School in the district final. The girls team will play at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Rolla.
The Rock Bridge boys team beat Hickman High School 70-49 to claim its second straight district title. The Bruins have beaten the Kewpies in 21 straight games.
The Rock Bridge boys team has won five district championships in the past six seasons. The Bruins will face Rolla (19-8) at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in Rolla. The winner will advance to the Class 5 state quarterfinals.
