Dortch found guilty in murder trial
A Callaway County jury found Dortch guilty of first-degree murder in the Douglass Park shooting of Miles Heard on Nov. 4, 2008. Dortch faces a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder conviction. A sentencing hearing will be held on Dec. 21.
UPDATE: Police seize more videos in Missouri sex abuse case
A police warrant states that more than 60 videos and computer equipment were seized from 48-year-old Jared Mohler's home in Columbia. Prosecutors added to the rape charges Thursday against Mohler, his 53-year-old brother, Burrell Mohler Jr., and his 77-year-old father, Burrell E. Mohler Sr.

Four-car collision involving cement truck causes traffic backup
A four-car collision involving a cement truck happened Thursday afternoon on the intersection of Stadium Boulevard and College Avenue. Sgt. Alan Fish of the MU Police Department said the driver of a beige Honda, Adam Craig, was issued citations for running a red light and colliding with another vehicle. Craig received bruises from his seat belt, but no one was taken to the hospital.
