Officers investigating a report of gunfire found 41-year-old Andre Hudson, of Holts Summit, dead in a car shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., the suspect was let into the building by a clerk after knocking on a locked door. According to police, the suspect then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk was able to escape by running out a side door and hiding, and the clerk then called police.

A robber armed with a knife demanded money from two clerks and left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash early Friday morning, police reported.

A Boone County grand jury indicted Anthony Graves on Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder with an alternative charge of felony murder because DeAudre Johnson allegedly died as a result of Graves committing the felony of unlawful use of a weapon.
