Tatiana Kudriavtseva, a prominent English to Russian translator who spent 13 winters in Columbia, died in Moscow on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. She translated the works of authors such as John Updike, Norman Mailer, John Steinbeck and Margaret Mitchell, many of whom she befriended over the course of her decades-long career.
